Groundfix has recently been awarded the Infrastructure contract for the 278 works and the Civils 2 works, which includes the diversion of the existing A38 with a new spine road to the site, park and ride facilities, the first phase of parcel earthworks and all associated adoptable highways and drainage. We are looking forward to working with Taylor Wimpy & Vistry Partnerships on this new and exciting development.

A new community on the south-west side of Taunton, between the existing parishes of Comeytrowe and Trull, this site is well located to the South West of Taunton, well within walking and biking distance of the town centre, enjoying far reaching views of the Blackdown Hills Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty AONB) and glimpses of the Wellington Monument.

The site benefits from Outline Planning Permission for 2,000 dwellings, with Taylor Wimpey’s part of the scheme equating up to 1,169 homes. This new community also benefits from approximately 13 acres of new employment space accessed off the A38, a new primary school, sports pitches, allotments, a local centre and a 300 space ‘park & bus’ facility. We are currently designing the first part of this new development, in partnership with Somerset West and Taunton Council, with a view to opening our show area in 2021. There will be a range of homes for all purchasers, with properties from one bedroom to four bedroom homes available.
